Today, employer and trade union representatives signed a new Collective Agreement for the years 2011 and 2012 at the Hrvatski Telekom Headquarters. The Agreement was signed after several months of negotiations which were conducted in a constructive atmosphere and under a climate of mutual respect between the negotiating parties. On behalf of the Company, the new Collective Agreement was signed by Ivica Mudrinić, President of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer and Branka Skaramuča, Member of the Management Board and Chief Human Resources Officer, while on behalf of trade unions, the document was signed by Juko Cikojević, President of the Croatian Union of Telecommunications (HST) and Jadranko Vehar, President of the Republic Union of Croatian Workers (RSRH).
Again, the new Collective Agreement again is reflecting the continuously high level of workers' rights at Hrvatski Telekom, representing business operation management in line with future requirements and market development in Croatia. In the negotiations, the emphasis was on salary system upgrading and performance-related remuneration.
Therefore, the Collective Agreement will ensure social peace for the next two years. It will provide 3 percent of the budget for salaries as per assessment of the Employee Performance Assessment Manager in 2011 and 2 percent of the budget for salaries as per assessment of the Employee Performance Assessment Manager in 2012. In the light of care for their future, employees will be given the possibility to choose payment of the gross amount of 6.000 HRK, either as holiday bonus or as payment into the T-HT Closed-End Voluntary Pension Fund.
«We are pleased with the Collective Agreement signed today, which is the result of a social dialog that has been kept up for several years, and with the willingness of both parties to retain key workers' rights. I would like to congratulate the negotiating parties on their constructive approach during negotiations, as well as on their focus on common interests of employees and employer », said Ivica Mudrinić, President of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer.
«By putting the emphasis on employees, their labor rights or, respectively, further ensurance of competitive working conditions, this Collective Agreement is, above all, an expression of the Company's continuous social sensitivity, particularly in times of crisis», said Branka Skaramuča, Member of the Management Board and Chief Human Resources Officer.
„Taking into consideration the current economic conditions, the Union's Negotiation Team aimed to keep the high level of workers' rights at Hrvatski Telekom. In our opinion, we have achieved this goal by signing the Collective Agreement which includes improvements in specific rights. Hrvatski Telekom is a top ranking company in its environment, therefore the labor and social status of the Company's employees had to be top ranking too. I would like to thank all individuals involved in the negotiations for their efforts and mutual respect „ said Juko Cikojević, President of the Croatian Union of Telecommunications, who has been acting as President of the Union's Negotiation Team.
„This Collective Agreement is the result of social partnership, dialog and the negotiating parties' awareness of the conditions we are facing and under which HT is operating. Of course, it is the wish of us all that the overall situation gets better, that the crisis ends as soon as possible, for the benefit of the entire economy and , of course, of our workers, i.e. the Company's employees. We are satisfied with what we have agreed on, and I trust that, thanks to further development of our partner relations, the new agreement will be even better“ said Jadranko Vehar, President of the Republic Union of Croatian Workers (RSRH).
Affirming HT as a responsible company which ensures conditions for development of the best by means of a high level of rights, such as the annual holiday bonus, Christmas bonus, the right to medical check-ups, inclusion in the Closed-End Voluntary Pension Fund, additional training options and other benefits, the Collective Agreement, signed for a two-year period, for 2011 and 2012, also demonstrates the Company's sensitivity to social conditions of business operation and market, as well as the importance of social partnership.
