Yet another recognition to HT for its socially responsible operations

On 20 December, Croatian Telecom was granted membership, for a second consecutive year, in the CEERIUS Sustainability Index for 2011, the sustainability index of the Vienna Stock Exchange for the CEE region composed of the shares of the leading companies in reference to social and ecological quality, as well as economic performance. The index is based on integrated assessment of sustainable company operations conducted by the Austrian company rfu - Reinhard Friesenbichler Business Consulting, specialized in sustainability research and consulting of institutional investors, companies and organizations.
There are two more Croatian companies, apart from HT, that have been included in the CEERIUS Index for 2011. As at 22 December 2010 the share weight of Croatian Telecom in CEERIUS amounts to as much as 12.86%.
This membership represents yet another recognition of HT as a company which is permanently focused on social responsibility values in all business activities and which strives to position itself as the leading company in paving the way to the society of responsible citizens.
HT takes a number of activities in this area which are focused on: sustainable connection of life and work, integration in the society of information and knowledge and developing the society with minimum emission of greenhouse gases.
In December 2009 HT was granted membership in the CEERIUS Sustainability Index for the first time, for the year 2010.
HT shows its social responsibility through a number of donation projects, by investing into humanitarian projects, education, especially projects in which modern technologies represent a basic component. The implementation of the environmental protection strategy has a special place in responsibility guidelines, thanks to which Croatian Telecom was granted the ISO 14001 certificate.
