for the active participation of HT employees from all over Croatia. Being aware of the challenges and difficulties of the time we live in, the employees proposed about 300 projects from their surroundings aiming to help those who need it the most – from newborn babies to old people.
“We are happy when we can help people who need help the most, especially in these difficult times. Our Company has been demonstrating its social responsibility for a number of years now by participating in numerous charitable activities and initiating projects as “Zajedno smo jači” which is a donation project. This project enabled the implementation of a large number of valuable projects within local communities we live and work in. We are exceptionally proud of the fact that the project is a joint initiative of the Company and its workers. The focus this year again is on humanitarian projects and we provide support to health service institutions and organizations working with children with special needs, invalids, elderly citizens and poor”, said Ivica Mudrinić, President of the Management Board of Hrvatski Telekom.
A Committee consisting of employees from all parts of the Company and all regions reviewed the proposals and selected those that will receive the donation. When examining the proposals, the Committee had to observe the following criteria: the humanitarian goal of the project; the lasting value and importance of the project for the society; the project involves a large number of direct or indirect beneficiaries. Twenty-four projects were selected and HT will donate HRK 775,000. The majority of the proposed projects covers the fields such as work with children, care for elderly people, providing help to socially disadvantaged groups of people and special need people of different age as well as health protection and education.
The Company donated more than HRK 6 million for humanitarian projects in Croatia through its “Zajedno smo jači” project.
