Shooting of the fifth episode of Move On, the first interactive road movie finished today in Croatia. Throughout the last three days, action packed scenes featuring international award winning male lead Mads Mikkelson and rising star Gabriela Marcinkova were shot at multiple locations in Opatija, Rijeka and surrounding areas.
The Ambassador Hotel in Opatija, the XIII Division Promenade, Ivan pl. Zajc Street in Rijeka and Bakar Bridge were picked by the producers and the director as the most attractive filming locations. They were particularly delighted by Hartera which they used as backdrop for the party night scenes.
The cast and crew are on the road since 9 July, covering eight countries in 40 days. One episode will be dedicated to each country; after the Netherlands, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary, Croatia is the fifth country where principal photography for Move On takes place. Filming will continue in Montenegro, Macedonia and Germany before production wraps.
Move On is the first interactive movie in the world, more precisely, the first one to give the audience the possibility to influence the events which the main character has to go through. There are numerous opportunities for consumer participation. For instance, hundreds of Croatian consumers had the chance to join the shooting during a night at the Hartera Club, the cafe used as a backdrop for two scenes and the chief character's drink was chosen after suggestions made by consumers, and the music played in the cafe was performed by the band Hold Your Horses from the city of Đakovo. Croatian consumers also designed a sun lotion ad, the front page of the newspaper read by the protagonist and the name of the Croatian Hotel where he is staying.
Commenting on the experience of being included in the cast of this project, young dancer Boris Morović (22) from Osijek said:
“Dancing is what I always have been interested in and what I really love. I am overjoyed to have been picked and given the opportunity to be part of the excellent cast of Move On. It really is a big life experience to experience how a movie gets made, and to participate in its creation with one's own skills.”
The motion picture is being filmed in cooperation with Deutsche and Hrvatski Telekom, and another ten Deutsche Telekom markets participate in the project: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, The Netherlands and Slovakia.
Nikolina Jaković, Director of HT's Marketing Communications Department: „This project is absolutely unique; for the first time, moviegoers are given the possibility to participate in the making of a movie, by their ideas and creativity. Through a unique web page, move-on-film.hr, consumers could check out what the production team was looking for, present their ideas and thus take part in the project. This way, Hrvatski Telekom supported their present but also future customers in the joint involvement in this unique project, also promoting Croatia on whose localities production has just wrapped. All persons who are interested and who until now have not participated in the making of this movie have the opportunity to get involved in the following days, as the production team is looking for the soundtrack and for extras who will participate in the shooting of the final scenes in Berlin."
