After having offered improved availability of the 4G network to its customers in Split, Osijek and Rijeka in July, now Hrvatski Telekom is making surfing in today's most advanced network available to a substantially larger number of Zagreb citizens. As from today, customers will enjoy mobile surfing in the latest, the fourth generation network with speeds up to ten times higher, in as many as twenty districts in Zagreb where HT is implementing or expanding its advanced 4G network, namely in the districts of Dubrava, Prečko, Rudeš, Črnomerec, Špansko, Donja Kustošija, Borongaj, Gajnice, Vrapče, Center, Donji grad, Trešnjevka, Siget, Trnava, Jankomir, Maksimir, Jordanovac, Savica, Sesvete and Volovčica. Upon this expansion, the current population coverage of the city of Zagreb by the Hrvatski Telekom LTE-based 4G network is 50 percent.
A more detailed map of the HT 4G signal coverage – including previously covered areas, is available at the link.
Customers who are located on the network coverage boundaries can check the availability of 4G signal by entering their address into the appropriate field.
For surfing in the 4G network, HT offers special discounts to students and young people aged between 18 and 28 years. If they activate the Extreme Mobile net L tariff model, one of the tariff models tailored for best use in fast 4G mobile networks, their monthly fee will be reduced by 50 HRK; they will get unlimited surfing at transmission rates up to 75 Mbps and flat traffic at monthly rates starting from 125 HRK, until the end of 2012.
Fast Internet availability is a strategic guideline of Hrvatski Telekom. In March od 2012, HT was the the first in Croatia and among the first in the Region and in Europe to put the LTE-based 4G network into commercial operation.
HT is expanding availability of the fast 3G and 4G networks on a daily basis, having the largest population coverage of both networks in Croatia.
